Nyungwe National Park, located in southwestern Rwanda, is one of Africa’s oldest and most biodiverse rainforests. Known for its lush mountain landscapes and rich wildlife, Nyungwe is a prime destination for primate tracking—home to chimpanzees, colobus monkeys, L’Hoest’s monkeys, and 12 other primate species. The park also shelters over 300 bird species, including numerous Albertine Rift endemics, making it a paradise for bird-watchers and nature enthusiasts.

Adventure seekers can explore a network of scenic hiking trails and experience the iconic Canopy Walkway, a suspended bridge offering breathtaking views above the treetops. Chimpanzee Trekking & Return to Kigali

Early morning breakfast followed by a briefing at the ranger station.

Depart for chimpanzee trekking, where you’ll track these energetic primates through the forest and observe them in their natural habitat.

Return to the lodge for refreshments and check-out.

Scenic drive back to Kigali, arriving in the late afternoon.
